This project is currently under construction - it’s a spacious modern home being built using HEBEL
Aerated Concrete. Working with HEBEL offers many benefits from its ease of construction to
providing homes with luxury living environment by providing excellent noise blocking, solid and
secure-no-rot construction and by far exceeds requirements of new energy efficiency laws.
The main Features on this job are the HEBEL Block load bearing walls, HEBEL Panel non load bearing
walls, HEBEL Sound floor, Double glazing, Gas fired under floor heating(including wet areas), Large
rooms and high 2.7m stud height, High access double garage, Attic storage accessible through
drop-down folding stairway & Low maintenance exterior.

In between our more extensive projects this year we have also undertaken alterations and repairs to
homes and businesses throughout the District and surrounding areas.
Major Projects Undertaken in 2006:
Main Contractor for Total Refurbishments to two floors at Westpac Taupo-Horomatangi Street and
Westpac Rotorua - Haupapa Street:
These Projects both had a time frame of 8 weeks from start to completion. A lot of this work was done
during the evenings to ensure staff and customers weren’t disrupted from their normal days, we worked
on a very tight deadline to ensure a quick smooth transition with minimal interference to the business.
Security was a very high priority over the duration of this project considering the delicate nature of
the company employing our services. Project Managers and Architects of this project have commented on
our professional and tidy work nature and have been very pleased by work done; all feed back received on
completion has been of an extremely positive nature.
Taupo District Council: Alteration of Manuka Street Archives Centre
Main contractor awarded Tender for Archive Alterations to be undertaken.
Merchandising Work For Dimension Display Ltd: - This is done throughout the North Island. This involves
Westpac Banks, P.S.I.S banks, Caltex Service stations, Telecom Merchandising, B.N.Z banks, Lotto menu
boards. J.McDermott Builders Ltd has been doing Merchandising work for Dimension Display for the last
10 years.
Geological & Nuclear Sciences:
Mostly upgrading work of all buildings. Our company has done all upgrading work here for the last 6 years.
De Lambert Alteration:
This project started as a single level dwelling but ended up a modern two story house with decks and
views of Lake Taupo.
Village Resort - Lake Terrace Taupo:
Our Company carries out all work and has done for the last 6 years for this Time Share Resort, from unit
refurbishments to total maintenance of the complex.
Bradshaw - Waitahanui:
Overseas based client that our company carries out all major alterations for and project manages all work.
Hetherington - Kohatu Parade Taupo:
Small alteration carried out for first time client. They were thrilled with the job.
Van Schooten/Borgers - Kinloch:
Constructing new garage for Wellington based client at Kinloch.
Weenink - Birch Street Taupo:
Removing existing colour steel roof and replacing with plywood sheets and nuraply membrane to roof,
parapets and gutters, installing new over flows.
